Free talk tomorrow with Tom Cadwallender
Join us at 8pm to hear about the birds of Alnmouth in Northumberland
Join us on Zoom tomorrow night (8pm UK time) to find out all about the birds of Alnmouth in Northumberland (UK), from long-time patch-watcher and infectiously enthusiastic naturalist Tom Cadwallender.
Born and raised Northumbrian, Tom Cadwallender is currently a freelance ornithologist, podcaster, bird tour guide, vlogger, broadcaster, lecturer, traveller and, most importantly, birdwatcher.
Tom was involved in managing the Northumberland coast for over 25 years as the Natural and Cultural Heritage Officer for the Northumberland coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
All the while, Tom has been studying waders and seabirds, both professionally and as a volunteer, and has a rich in-depth knowledge of many species, especially the Roseate Tern.
Tom is also a British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) diehard who enjoys nothing more than counting birds for conservation and fun, and who enjoys spreading the ornithological word to anyone who will listen.
We'll hear about many aspects of Tom's patch and the birdlife there, with time to ask questions.
